Toy testing fun for Amazon
Logan Prouse is a 10-year-old with an important job in the lead up to Christmas, testing a range of toys for Amazon’s annual Christmas present ideas list.
The Carramar Year 5 student was chosen for this enviable role by Starlight Foundation, along with 10 other lucky kids across Australia.
“I was granted a Starlight wish when I was really sick a few years ago and they arranged this opportunity for me too,” Logan said.
He was happy and excited to be an official toy tester this year.
“I’m excited and honoured, but was also nervous about the big responsibility,” he said.
“I wasn’t home when the toys first arrived but when Mum brought them out, I was shocked at how big the boxes were and super-excited to play with them all straight away.”
Logan was gifted a range of toys to test which have entertained his whole family.
“I got the Castle Grayskull from Masters of the Universe, a Minecraft board game, the Pokémon limited edition trainer box, lots of games, and the Batman Bat-Bot but my favourite toy was the LEGO Marvel Ship. I love LEGO and who doesn’t love Marvel? It’s the best combination!”
Logan’s younger brother Flynn has had heaps of fun as Logan’s assistant during testing, with the Bat-Bot getting his top vote for Christmas.
“My parents love the Castle Grayskull. My Dad always wanted one when he was a kid and was a bit jealous and my Mum loved He-man and Shera when she was a kid as well.”
After hours and hours of testing the ins and outs of the range of toys, Logan has decided on a few recommendations for Amazon’s festive list.
“I would recommend the LEGO Marvel for kids my age, but if you are a little kid then the Batman Bat-Bot.”
Logan’s mum Amy said their family was thankful to Starlight and Amazon for the experience granted and for putting a smile on everyone’s faces once again.
“Starlight has been a huge support for all our family. Right from the beginning when Logan was in hospital for so many weeks Captain Starlight was always close by to put a smile on all our faces. Even now, four years later, Starlight continues to bring joy to our family and for so many families.”
