Making the move to a boarding environment can be very daunting for students and parents alike. The St Stephen’s School Home Away From Home program eases some of the traditional pressures associated with transitioning to a boarding school by offering students a home with their siblings and space to call their own, to make living away from home that little bit easier for all involved. Students can expect their own bedroom, a quiet area to study and most importantly, a safe, relaxed and nurturing family atmosphere.
Our unique partnership with Talkabout Homestay sees each regional student matched with a local host family and welcomed into their home. Students and families are matched using a range of criteria, interviews and check-ins. Short-term trials (two to four weeks) are also available for families to decide whether the program is the right fit for their child or children.
With two St Stephen’s School campus options offering specialist opportunities, leading ATAR pathways and vast Vocational options, regional students can choose an educational path that focuses on their passions, interests, and career aspirations. Extensive subject choices and extra-curricular programs enable students to access learning opportunities that guide them toward their post-school study, training and career choices.
No matter where you live, start your child on their path at St Stephen’s School. Call 9243 2471 or email homeawayfromhome@ststephens.wa.edu.au
