How to Apply
St Stephen’s School accepts enrolment applications for all year groups across our campuses.
Our intake years to welcome new students into the community are Kindergarten, Year 5 (Duncraig only) and Year 7. The process for enrolment in these year groups will usually start two years ahead of commencement date.
Please note that places in some year groups are limited and your child may be placed on a waitlist.

Enrolments are completed through a streamlined digital process. The different stages and more information are outlined below.
This is where families register their interest in a possible position at St Stephen’s School. Filling in the Registration Form gathers some simple information to place the family on the system and determine their status according to our Enrolment Policy. Registrations are required for all enrolments. A non-refundable fee of $100 (including GST) is payable per child at this stage.
- If the Registration is made for one of the School’s intake years, outlined above, the process for enrolment in these years usually starts around two years ahead of a commencement date and you can expect to hear from the Enrolments Team with more information then.
- If your Registration for an intake year is received within the two-year timeframe, one of our Enrolments Team will be in touch soon after it is submitted. We do suggest trying to submit a registration before the two-year timeframe to ensure you are higher on the list of entry.
- For Registrations made for year groups not in the intake years list, one of the Enrolments Team will be in touch to progress your application soon.
*We do our best to adhere to these timeframes, however sometimes contact may be made sooner or later than expected depending on availability.
The Application stage is where the School gathers more detailed information about the student, their needs and family to ensure we can provide the best education for your child.
Please note, an Application does not guarantee an interview. It registers interest in a possible position depending on availability.
There are some documents you will be asked to provide at this stage including a copy of the child’s unabridged birth certificate and up-to-date Australian Immunisation Record.
Upon receipt of all required documentation and according to available spots, the student and family will be invited to an interview with members of School Leadership. This is where both parties get to know each other and work together to shape the best educational approach for the child.
The family is then welcomed into the St Stephen’s School community, with helpful information provided and access to our Parent and Student Portals to ensure a smooth transition into the School.

*Please note, it is a requirement under current WA legislation that any student commencing Pre-Kindergarten and/or Kindergarten is fully immunised. Learn more about immunisation requirements.
