Synthesis 2024
The 2024 Synthesis exhibition was a wonderful celebration and acknowledgment of the creativity, innovation and commitment to the Arts and Technologies from Pre-Primary to Year 12 at the Duncraig campus. The opening night included exhibitions of student work, award presentations, film screenings and an insightful and inspiring address by our guest speaker Class of 2017, Alumni Zac Tholen.
The Primary Village Visual Arts exhibition was outstanding. The wide range of work, media and scope of ideas on display illustrated the love that the students have for Visual Arts and their desire to create, make and produce original artwork.
This year the Secondary Visual Arts exhibition in Cousins Hall not only celebrated the realised artworks the students created but also showcased the in-depth inquiry work that underpins the students’ outcomes.
The Secondary Technologies exhibition showcased design innovation from across Materials, Graphic Design and Textiles. Our wonderful Hospitality students provided guests with refreshments and a wide range of culinary delights, designed, created, and served by the students on the night.
We were treated to showreels of media work from Year 7 through to Year 12 Media. The awards presentation culminated in the Year 12 Media film showcase, delivering to the audience to an insightful and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
The exhibitions were beautifully accompanied by Year 11 student, Daniel Nievelstein treating us to an evening piano recital.
We would like to thank students, parents, and guardians for their ongoing support of Synthesis. We would also like to recognise the wonderful Arts and Technologies staff who curated and presented the work for Synthesis and all the staff involved across the school who make this event so successful.
