From school sports in the early ’90s to high-pressure operations in Counter-Terrorism and Dignitary Protection, Acting Inspector Matthew Sharp’s journey has been anything but ordinary. A proud Duncraig alumnus from the Class of 1993 and former Alethea Assistant House Captain, Matthew has spent 27 years serving WA with dedication and integrity. His career has taken him from working alongside Heads of State to supporting families in crisis and, in true St Stephen’s School style, he’s balanced it all with integrity and compassion. Off duty, you’ll find him teaching Reformer Pilates, bringing the same focus and positivity to people’s wellbeing as he does to policing. In this special alumni feature, we join Matthew on the job to hear how St Stephen’s School shaped him, what drives him, and the lessons he carries forward every day.
