What do you get when you mix mud, imagination and a dash of curiosity? A recipe for happy Kindy students.

Carramar’s youngest learners are getting their hands dirty, in the best way, as they explore the new outdoor mud kitchen. In an area where they can experiment with mixing, pouring, stirring and pretend games.

Our new mud kitchen outdoor play space is designed to spark creativity and encourage hands-on learning,” says Caitlin Rollings, Kindy Teacher. “Here, children can mix, stir and create all while exploring the wonders of nature.”

It is already sparking plenty of creative adventures. Vicky explains that her favourite thing to do is to “make potions with sand, bark and water”.

Mud kitchens like this one support “whole child” development. As children scoop and “cook” they build hand strength, expand their vocabulary, practice teamwork and imaginative role play. No surprise that the mid kitchen has quickly become a crowd favourite at Carramar Kindy.

This exciting addition aligns with similar outdoor play spaces available to our Duncraig Kindy students, ensuring a consistent learning experience across campuses.
