The Lou Morrison Kimberley Service Learning Tour offered students a rich blend of adventure, cultural learning and genuine care. From the moment the group arrived in Broome, guides Glen and Dean ensured each day was smooth and welcoming.

Across the week, students experienced an equal mix of adventure and warm hospitality. From floating through the tidal inlets at Coconut Wells and exploring Tunnel Creek to settling into Manjali Studio School, where shared meals, creative workshops and cultural storytelling fostered meaningful connection. Other highlights included collaborative art at Mowanjum, time in the Mimbi Caves and gifting clothing and sports gear to local students.

The tour wrapped up with Broome markets, Parkrun and a beachside farewell, a fitting end to a memorable experience. More than a trip, it was a powerful reminder of the impact service and community can have on young people’s growth.
