Pre-Primary is a year filled with confidence-building and joyful discovery and Mrs Saffron Ramsey loves every moment of it.

Saffron began her teaching journey at an Australian international school in Bangkok, an experience she describes as absolutely amazing. After returning to Perth, she has now been teaching for seven years and says she “absolutely loves” what she does. Her passion for Early Childhood education is clear, not just in what she teaches, but in how she connects with her students.

At the heart of Saffron’s classroom is connection. She sees relationship-building as her “secret superpower”, creating an environment where children feel safe, known and confident to be themselves. “I really value creating a space where they can grow and come out of their shell,” she shares.

Her classroom is filled with memorable moments, including hearing children repeat her well-loved phrases, such as “You get what you get and you don’t get upset!” She laughs that it’s even better when she hears students saying it to each other “very seriously, like mini teachers.”

A great day in Pre-Primary, according to Saffron, is one full of lightbulb moments and genuine excitement about learning. She loves seeing children apply new skills and knowledge in different situations, building both competence and confidence as the year unfolds.

Outside of school, Saffron enjoys time at the beach, reading, catching up with friends and heading out for coffee or good food. If she could hop on a plane tomorrow, she’d be off somewhere tropical, Fiji or the Maldives, anywhere with a beautiful beach and sunshine.

Saffron was born in England and has family across the globe, including Jamaica and Antigua, a wonderfully rich heritage that adds to her global perspective.

For families beginning their Pre-Primary journey, Saffron offers heartfelt reassurance:“Your child will be truly known, supported and celebrated. Their full personality and potential will be nurtured as they grow in confidence and independence throughout the year.”

With warmth, humour and a genuine love for her students, Saffron is helping our youngest learners build strong foundations, academically, socially and emotionally, one joyful day at a time.
