St Stephen’s School offers multiple pathways for students to achieve. Our holistic view of education includes a comprehensive list of VET courses that develop mature, experienced and self-aware students which opens them up to real-world opportunities.
St Stephen’s School is currently the State’s equal number one school provider of Vocational Education & Training (VET) in WA, having issued more than 500 Certificate qualifications to further students’ post-school careers.
Aligning with the School’s vision of “inspiring learning that transforms and empowers lives”, we offer a blended model of onsite VET delivery; internal, taught by teachers at the School; and offsite, where students visit a variety of training organisations and workplaces to learn on the job.
Students can take part in VET in Schools from Year 11. Most of the qualifications offered are at Certificate II and above.
St Stephen’s students have completed VET qualifications in a diverse range of fields including Electrotechnology, Automotive, Business, Beauty, Building and Construction, Education (early childhood and education support), Media, Music, Health and Community Services. Other areas of interest can also be considered if numbers are available.
The School has also qualified for the Government’s Good Practice Models for VET in Schools, which means we can offer guidance and training to other schools interested in VET programs.
