St Stephen’s School Year 12 students have topped off one of the most interesting years many of us have had, with impressive achievements. Thirty-three students achieved ATAR scores above 90, placing them in the top 10 per cent in the State – 14 of those scoring 95 and above.
“Our students continue to impress in all areas of learning,” St Stephen’s School Principal Mrs Donella Beare said. “The resilience and adaptability everyone has built this year, let alone those who were completing their final year of school, will see them go further towards success.”
Carramar student Jessica Cruickshank was the top performing student cross-campus, scoring a remarkable 99.05 while Noah Gribble topped the Duncraig campus with an ATAR of 98.45.
St Stephen’s School received a median cross-campus ATAR of 84.75, above the State median of 81.65.
Year 12 Casey Vlahos was also named the top student in her VET course. She completed a Certificate IV in Health Science Foundations and has been invited back to work with the training organisation as a mentor while completing her nursing degree. Year 12 Aaron Bright was offered an apprenticeship with Ertech off the back of his qualification through the School’s VET program and Corey Broad competed his automotive mechanical pre-apprenticeship qualification and is now working for CBH in Wongan Hills alongside supervisors to train other employees.
“This year’s ATAR results reflect not only the outstanding effort of students, but the ongoing support and guidance provided by teachers and parents – thank you to all for helping our Class of 2020 reach their potential.”
Mrs Beare said the St Stephen’s School graduating 2020 cohort will be remembered for more than just the year we have had including transitioning to online learning. She said their friendly faces, dedication and responsible leadership of the School will always have a special place as alumni of St Stephen’s School.
“A hearty congratulations to our Class of 2020 and all the best for their future endeavours; we can’t wait to see where your path leads.”
