Mrs Isabelle Pilote, or Madame Pilote as she is fondly known by so many, said she is “officially an SSS adult” after being with the school for 18 years.
“You really need to be happy in a place to stay in it for 18 years,” Mrs Pilote said. “SSS is my happy place, my home away from home.”
During her time at St Stephen’s Mrs Pilote has kept herself busy with a range of roles including High School French Teacher, Head of Languages, Dean of Makaria and now Deputy Head of Primary at the Carramar campus.
Since becoming a Deputy, she belongs to all Houses yet this hasn’t been easy after having “green blood” as a Makarian for 14 years.
Mrs Pilote said there were so many great memories from her time at the school but some stand outs included all the exchange programs, sharing her language and culture with the students, the eight French Tours she has been on and being able to start and work on big events like the Spring Soiree, the River Cruise and the Ball.
St Stephen’s School’s “pursuit of excellence in everything we do, our amazing Service Learning Program and the many opportunities on offer to students in so many areas” are what make our School one-of-a-kind.
