Samantha Knox has always been a friendly face, which hasn’t changed since she graduated from Duncraig in 2009, her laugh and bubbly nature still lighting up the room.

After graduating, Samantha studied a Bachelor of Arts in English & Creative Arts and Screen Production at Murdoch University and has worked in a variety of creative spaces.

“I worked for two years as a puppeteer and children’s performer for The Constable Care Child Safety Foundation,” Samantha said.

“I am about to finish a Props and Scenery Degree at WAAPA [where Samantha recently won the Top Student Award for the course], which has allowed me to work for The West Australian Ballet, The West Australian Opera and Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company doing work in scenic art, set building and backstage work.

“I also perform regularly as an improviser at Lazy Susan’s Comedy Den in The Big Hoo Haa.”

Samantha credited St Stephen’s with helping her confidence and boosting her ability to talk to people, which has helped with employment.

She has travelled a lot including trips to Egypt, Croatia, the UK, Trinidad, throughout Europe, South East Asia, Northern America and New Zealand.

“I also spent three months working on a summer camp (Camp Walden) as a theatre specialist in Canada.”

“My hobbies include hiking, painting, camping, spending time with family and learning new skills.”
