We could hear Duncraig alumni Brendan Fowler cheering the West Coast Eagles on in the AFL Grand Final from here.
The now Canning Vale resident listed watching his beloved team as one of his top hobbies when we contacted him recently, followed by coaching and watching his two boys Bailey (11) and Jesse (9) play sport, catching up with friends for drinks and getting away with the family.
After graduating in 1995, Brendan studied Media and Public Relations at ECU, obtaining his BA three years later.
“I spent 15 years working my way up in the finance industry before joining the building sector three years ago where I’m now the Sales Manager at HomeStart,” Brendan said.
Happily married to wife Rebecca for 13 years now, Brendan also enjoys his role as a Marriage Celebrant on the side, which he said is great fun.
He and Rebecca have travelled extensively through Asia and the east coast of Australia over the years but you could have also found him at the Whitfords Cricket Club winning ad captaining premierships, which he lists among some of his memorable achievements since his school days.
Brendan said he feels very fortunate to have attended St Stephen’s for his high school years.
“We were given great opportunities to learn leadership skills, which has helped me in my career,” he said, adding that he honed his public speaking skills in the theatre arts program.
“The teachers really cared, which in hindsight, I’m very grateful for.”
