Carols by Candlelight

The event, supported by the City of Joondalup and Trinity North Uniting Church has become an integral part of the School’s community celebrations. With a special focus on children and youth this year, Rev Jeff Savage and MC Richard Lane shared Christmas and biblical stories for the young families, and a baby farmyard animal petting zoo was setup for children to visit and cuddle at no cost.

As the sun set, the church band and choir encouraged many children to join in on dancing and singing to old favourites including Aussie Jingle Bells. The waving glow of candles spread across the school oval and many families shared a donation for the Christmas bowl appeal where funds raised support international war-torn communities suffering with poverty, disease or violence.

Mr Geoff Hurst, Minister from Trinity North said the event was growing in popularity every year and there are already plans underway to build upon the event next year.

The School is seeking volunteers to help in preparation for the 2012 Carols by Candlelight.
