Principals Welcome Title

A message from the Principal

St Stephen's School is a wonderful school. It's not the buildings or the curriculum that make St Stephen's School wonderful - it's the people. As a Christian community in the Uniting Church tradition inspiring learning that transforms and empowers people to serve God and serve one another, St Stephen's School is unique.

Throughout the year I have had opportunity to speak with both current school families as well as those wanting to join our School community about why they have chosen for their children to enjoy a St Stephen's School education. While our School achieves excellent academic results in NAPLAN and WACE across both Duncraig and Carramar campuses, the consistent motivation of parents wanting their children to be part of St Stephen's School is the kind of people they want their children to grow into. Consequently, we not only teach literacy and numeracy, we grow people for eternity - people of Christian character and integrity.

Two parents recently shared their comments with us following Tour Morning.

“Apart from the beautiful aesthetics of the School including the atmosphere and well thought and planned facilities, the School has an outstanding reputation, is local to us, but most importantly we were very impressed with the demeanour of the students that represented the School to us recently at a Tour morning. They carried themselves maturely, had a genuine care for their visitors, answered questions eloquently and showed an obvious pride to attend St Stephen's. Later that morning we were able to meet faculty staff whom also reflected these qualities and we left with a warm sense that the School would complement the way we are raising our daughter in addition to providing excellent schooling”.

“I have researched various schools in Perth’s northern suburbs, and after reading the St Stephen’s Prospectus and touring the Carramar campus in March, I was filled with excitement and faith…On the Tour, I witnessed many aspects to everyday life at St Stephen’s and the sense of belonging, care and passion I experienced from everyone reconfirmed my beliefs that St Stephen’s can offer an environment I would be grateful for, during my child’s education and spiritual journey in school”.

I invite you to visit the pages of our website to discover more about the St Stephen's School community, or to contact our Admissions department to arrange a tour of our campuses.
